Philippe Stohr is a former student of the Ecole Polytechnique and a Ponts engineer. He holds an environmental sciences and techniques DEA from the University of Paris XII.

In 1998, he began his career in the “energy, transport, and natural resources” department of the Ministry of Research and Technology.
From 2000 to 2005, he was Deputy Director General and Projects Director at Andra. He was in charge of the project management of radioactive waste storage projects and the construction of the Meuse Haute-Marne research laboratory.

In 2006, he joined the Dalkia group, first in France in the strategy department, then as head of the electricity division in the energy markets department. He was then appointed Director of Strategy and Development for Dalkia in Germany.

At the end of 2011, he joined the Fortum Group, successively as Director France, then as Vice President Business Development and New Markets, Hydro & Technologies Division, and since 2016, as Vice President Wind Energy.

As of 17 September 2018, Philippe Stohr was appointed Director of Nuclear Energy at CEA. He leads a reflection mission to build a “system” approach integrating various energy technologies.

Guillaume Dureau is a graduate of the École Polytechnique. He began his career in 1988 as an economist at the French National Institute for Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE).

From 1992 to 2002, he worked as a Finance Inspector at the French Ministry of the Economy and Finance. In 2002, he joined AREVA as Director of Strategy and Internal Audit at Framatome ANP, and in 2004, he was appointed Director of Strategy and Mergers and Acquisitions for the AREVA group.

In 2006, Guillaume DUREAU was appointed Director of the Equipment BU and, at the same time, became a member of the Board of Directors of ETC, a joint subsidiary of URENCO and AREVA, of which he became Chief Executive Officer in 2010.

Between 2013 and 2016, Guillaume DUREAU was successively appointed Director of the Upstream Business Group, then Director of the Downstream Business Group, and a member of the AREVA group Executive Committee. He was appointed Director of the group’s Customers, Strategy, Innovation, and R&D Department (CSIR) on July 1, 2016.

Since February 2019, he has been President of Orano Projets SAS, Director of the Projects BU, and Director of Innovation and R&D of the Orano group and supervises the activities of Orano Med.

Etienne Dutheil joined EDF in 1992 as an engineer at the Penly nuclear power plant, then in 2001, became head of a maintenance operations department. In 2005, he joined the Blayais nuclear power plant as deputy director of unit shutdowns, then deputy director of maintenance, and finally plant director.

In 2013, he became deputy technical director of the nuclear production division.

In 2015, he spent four years managing a major industrial program for EDF aimed at continuing to operate nuclear reactors beyond the age of 40 while complying with the highest international safety standards.

Xavier Ursat is the Group’s Executive Director in charge of the New Nuclear Engineering and Projects Division. He joined EDF in 1991, where he initially held various positions in hydraulic engineering. Until 2002, he managed the construction of EDF’s hydraulic control centers and contributed to international projects, particularly in South America. Between 2002 and 2005, he was a project manager for EDF’s Deputy Managing Director in charge of Generation and Engineering, then Deputy Director of the Alpes Generation Unit in Grenoble until 2007, and Director of the South-West Generation Unit in Toulouse from 2007 to 2010. From 2010 to 2015, he was Deputy Director and then Director of the Production and Hydraulic Engineering Division.

Xavier Ursat is a member of the Board of Directors of EDF Renewables. He is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of EDVANCE and a member of the Supervisory Board of Framatome. He is the past president of SFEN.

He is a graduate of the École Polytechnique and Télécom Paris.

After a Ph.D. in Chemistry-Physics from UPMC, Daniel NACCACHE joined the CEA to conduct research in the field of plasma physics. After that, he held various positions in research management (internal auditor, assistant to the Laser Megajoule project manager, Director of Management of the Nuclear Energy Directorate). He worked outside the CEA as the Administrative and Financial Director of INRIA for five years.

Valérie FAUDON is General Delegate of the French Nuclear Energy Society (SFEN) and Vice-President of the European Nuclear Society (ENS). She was Marketing Director of AREVA from 2009 to 2012, after holding various management positions at HP and Alcatel-Lucent in the US and France. Valérie is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique, the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris. She also has a Master of Science from Stanford University in California. She teaches at Sciences-Po in the Public School of International Affairs.

Nathalie Allimann joined the Fayat Group at the beginning of 2022 as Director of Energy Development, in charge of the development of nuclear activities for the different divisions of the group.

She held the position of commercial director of the downstream cycle (fuel recycling, logistics, waste & dismantling, in France and internationally) at Orano from 2016 to 2021, after being the deputy of this division from 2013 to 2016.

Previously, Nathalie Allimann held several positions within AREVA and COGEMA between 1992 and 2013, mainly as a project manager in the field of nuclear waste and cycle facilities, as well as in the area of spent fuel transport and storage in France and abroad.

She has also been in charge of research and development programs in the field of radioactive effluent treatment, with the development of industrial applications, after starting her career as a process engineer.

Nathalie Allimann is a graduate of the Nancy School of Chemical Engineering (ENSIC).

Nathalie Allimann is also President of the GIFEN International & Export Commission.

Frank Carré joined the CEA in 1976 and has been involved in studies and research on the nuclear future in various positions of responsibility. From 2001 to 2009, he directed the CEA’s programs on future nuclear systems. He contributed to the definition of national research programs and international cooperation on fast neutron reactors with a closed fuel cycle, high-temperature reactors, and non-electrogenic nuclear applications such as the cogeneration of heat for housing and industry and hydrogen production.

He is currently the Scientific Director of the Energy Directorate created in 2020 at the CEA, after being Scientific Director of the Nuclear Energy Directorate from 2009 to 2019.

In 2008, he created the teaching and research chair on “Sustainable Energies” at the Ecole Polytechnique, which he held until 2018. He was Scientific Advisor to the High Commissioner for Atomic Energy from 2012 to 2018. He is a member of the Scientific Council of the CEA, the Military Applications Directorate of the CEA, and the Standing Advisory Group on Nuclear Energy of the IAEA.

Olivier Demarthe joined REEL in 2016 as Director of the embedded product activities and the aeronautics division. He has been Deputy CEO of the Group since 2021 and is now in charge of REEL’s nuclear activities.

Previously, Olivier Demarthe held several positions within AREVA between 2007 and 2016, notably in the strategy department and at the La Hague site as maintenance manager and operations manager.

Olivier Demarthe is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and a Ponts engineer.

Alain Gauvin joined ONET Technologies, a branch of the French family-owned Group ONET, in 2015, dedicated to the nuclear market. After holding the position of Director of Engineering and Export Projects, then Director of Operations, he was appointed in January 2020 as Managing Director.

Graduate of the Grenoble Polytechnic Institute, 25 years of experience in the fields of nuclear defense at TechnicAtome, aeronautics, and civil nuclear power within AREVA as a member of the COMEX of the Propulsion and Research BU in charge of modular and research reactors (Reactors and Services BG), President of AREVA Risk Management and CERCA.

David Guillon joined the SPIE Group in 1999, successively holding the positions of Operations Director, Business Director, and then Deputy Managing Director of SPIE Nucléaire.

On 10 July 2017, David Guillon was appointed Chief Executive Officer of SPIE Nucléaire and Chairman of its subsidiaries (ATMNi, MMC, FLUIGETEC and SPIE Thépault).

A graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and the Ecole des Mines, Thomas BRANCHE began his career at Total Exploration & Production before working for the French government, notably at the Directorate General for Energy and Climate. Previously Deputy Director in charge of the Energy Division in the cabinet of Eric Besson, former Minister of Industry, Energy and the Digital Economy, Thomas joined Assystem’s Energy & Infrastructure Division in 2012 as Deputy Managing Director for the French nuclear market.

In 2016, Thomas became Managing Director of Assystem in the Middle East. In 2017, he was appointed Senior VP in charge of activities related to energy transition and infrastructure development worldwide. In 2022, he was appointed head of Assystem’s engineering activities.

Bruno LANCIA is Managing Director of NUVIA (VINCI), an international group presents in 12 countries with a workforce of 2,700 technicians and engineers. A career of almost 30 years in the nuclear industry in various positions of responsibility within the VINCI group.

Grégoire Ponchon is a Civil Engineer from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées and has 25 years of experience in the industry. He started his career in the Renault Group Audit Department before joining the AREVA Group Audit Department in 2002.
From 2007 to 2016, he was Finance Director of the La Hague plant, then of the Recycling BU and the Installed Base and Command Control BUs.
In July 2017, he was appointed Chief Financial Officer of the Framatome Group, of which he is now, since June 2020, the Chief Executive Officer.

Loïc ROCARD is a former student of the Ecole Polytechnique, a graduate of the ENAC, a chief engineer of bridges, waters, and forests, and holds a degree in History from Paris IV Sorbonne and a Master of Science from the University of California at Berkeley. He began his career in 1997 at Aéroports de Paris, where he worked for ten years. He first was Advisor to the Director of Flight Operations, then Operations Director of the Roissy Charles de Gaulle 2 terminals, before managing the airport’s two automatic metro projects. He then joined the VINCI Group to lead rail concession projects, notably the bid for Sud Europe Atlantique (the Tours-Bordeaux high-speed line); in 2010, he became COFIROUTE’s Chief Operating Officer before being appointed Chief Executive Officer in 2012. From May 2014 to May 2017, Loïc ROCARD was the Adviser, Head of the Transport, Environment, Energy, Housing, and Urban Development Unit in the Prime Minister’s Office. He has been Chairman and CEO of TECHNICATOME since May 2017.

Born in 1971, Paul-Emmanuel SCHOELLER is a lawyer by training and graduated from the Robert SCHUMAN Law School in Strasbourg. He holds a master’s degree in private law and a postgraduate degree in business administration. As a communication officer, he started his career with the EDF group in 1998 at the Besançon distribution center. In 2001, he continued his career in the Nuclear Generation Division of EDF as external communication manager of the Cruas Meysse nuclear power plant (07), and in 2004 became Communication Director of the Saint Alban nuclear power plant (38). In 2006, he joined EDF’s hydropower division as Communications Director for the Grand Est region before joining the Chinon nuclear power plant (37) in 2009, where he was nominated Site Communications Director. In 2014, he was named director of communication for EDF Group’s engineering and new nuclear projects, a position he held until 2017, when he became director of communication for EDF’s operating nuclear fleet. Since May 1, 2019, he has been Director of Nuclear and Thermal Communication for the EDF Group.

Trained at the Reims School of Management, Patrice Torres joined Andra in 2003 as an apprentice in the purchasing department at the Agency’s headquarters in Chatenay-Malabry.

He joined the Aube region at the end of 2005 to take charge of the department in charge of facility maintenance, investments, and general logistics for the centers.

In 2008, Patrice Torres took over the management of Andra’s industrial centers in Aube (the Aube Storage Centre and the Industrial Centre for consolidation, storage, and disposal).

Since June 2016, in addition to his activities as the site director, he has been Andra’s director of industrial operations.

Patrice Torres sits on the Agency’s management committee.

Valérie Vandenberghe has a doctorate in materials mechanics and joined the CEA in 2003 to work on the behavior of fuel cladding in accident situations. She was then in charge of the laboratory for the mechanical behavior of irradiated materials, within a CEA INB, from 2012 to 2015, then head of the mechanical and thermal studies department until the end of 2020. Since 2021, she has joined the CEA’s energy department as head of the international relations and communication unit.
